This latest amendment 3 is available for free download from the IETs website. This free download can be printed and should be inserted into your 2022 version of BS7671 (brown book).

However, for the purpose of the examination:
At the moment, your final C&G examination will not be updated to reflect these changes; therefore, to avoid any issues with invigilators (especially the home examination), please do not include this update in your book when taking your exam.

18th Edition Exam Registration


In order to arrange a C&G 2382-22 exam, please follow the next two steps.



Step 1.

Please complete the exam booking form with your details. Make sure that you select your preferred exam centre location from the drop-down menu. Full contact details for partner exam centres can be seen further down the page.

These details are required for registration and certification upon success with the exam.


Step 2.

Please call the examination centre to arrange a suitable date for you to take the exam. We recommend contacting them sooner rather than later to make sure you get the date and time you want. When calling please mention us (LearnZone Media), in order for them to find your details quickly.

Important note: As it takes us a day or two to get you registered with the exam centre, please wait at least couple of days before calling the centre to arrange a suitable date and time for the exam.


C&G Tests at Home
Please read the following very carefully:


Candidate requirements

  • Windows PC or Laptop (please note that the C&G exam will not work on Apple computers),
  • Zoom, Facetime, or similar,
  • Photo ID
To apply, please select "C&G Tests at Home" in the exam registration form. We will then transfer your details to C&G and send you the confirmation email with the phone number to call.


Please be advised that in the past, a significant number of candidates have failed the C&G remote exam due to technical issues. These issues may well have arisen from not following the instructions correctly or due to invigilation service problems.

Please note that if this happens, we cannot offer you another exam for free.

  • Remote exams are conducted and monitored by C&G staff (regardless of which training provider you are with).
  • C&G only supports Windows PCs or Laptops, and not Apple or other devices.
  • You must have a reliable internet connection and the ability to install all necessary applications required by C&G. If your connection is lost, even for a few seconds, the exam will be terminated, resulting in failure and the need for the candidate to pay an additional exam fee.
  • To take the exam, you must have a suitable location, such as a quiet room in your home or office, as locations with background noise or other individuals nearby (i.e. public libraries) are not accepted. Attempting the exam in an unsuitable location will result in immediate failure and require a fee to retake.
