Which NVQ is the right one for me?


It all depends on your existing qualifications (prerequisites). Before making payment, we will contact you to make sure that you sign up for the correct NVQ required.


C&G 5357-03 Level 3 NVQ - Electrotechnical Qualification (installation or maintenance)

Prerequisites:
- C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3
- C&G 2382-18 - 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations
- Functional Skills Maths and English Level 2 or GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above


C&G 2357-44 Level 3 NVQ - Electrical Installation (Building and Structures)

Prerequisites:
- C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3
- C&G 2382-18 - 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations

Please note: To sign up for this NVQ qualification, you will need to complete a bridging unit (an additional surcharge applies).


C&G 2357-34 Level 3 NVQ - Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment

Prerequisites:
- C&G 2330 Level 2 & 3
- C&G 2382-18 - 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations

Please note: To sign up for this NVQ qualification, you will need to complete a bridging unit (an additional surcharge applies).


C&G 2346 Level 3 NVQ - Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (Installation)

Prerequisites:
- Minimum five years experience in electrical installation work
- C&G 2382-18 - 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations
- C&G 2391-50 Initial verification or equivalent (C&G 2394), or higher such as C&G 2391-52.

Depending on your circumstances, you might also have the following two qualifications:
- C&G 2330 Level 2 & 3, or
-
C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3.

If you don't hold one of these qualifications (C&G 2330 or C&G 2365), an assessment to test your knowledge will be required.

AM2 - Assessments of Occupational Competence for the Electrotechnical Industry

The last unit of any of these NVQ qualifications is the AM2 assessment which can be taken locally all over the UK.

Once your portfolio is complete (together with the AM2 assessment) you will receive your NVQ Level 3 Diploma which is a requirement for the JIB ECS Gold Card.



How much will this cost?


NVQ Level 3 - £1300 (inc.VAT)
This includes registration, portfolio, on-site assessments, marking, IQA, submission to City & Guilds and certification (including electronic version).

Bridging unit (if required) - from £250 to £350 (depending on the number of candidates on the course)

Is the NVQ qualification available in Northern Ireland?
Sorry, we can only offer the qualification in England, Scotland and Wales.
How long will it take to complete the NVQ portfolio?
Most candidates take between one and two years to complete their NVQ portfolio, but it can be done faster in some circumstances.
Will there be site visits required to complete the NVQ portfolio?
In most cases, two well-planned site visits will be sufficient, but in some circumstances, a third may be necessary.
Do you offer a payment plan for the costs involved?

Will Trevor Webb be my NVQ assessor?
This qualification is available in England, Scotland and Wales, and as such, we work with C&G approved NVQ assessors who are local to our students.
